i was walking through the forest with some of my friends and we came across a half grey half blue egg.

It was supposed to be a quick weekend hike—just you and the guys, off-grid and away from work stress. Halfway up the trail, you spotted something tucked beneath a tree root. A strange Easter egg, split down the middle—half gray, half blue, almost glowing in the morning sun.
You picked it up, cracked it open. Empty. Just a puff of cool air.
You shrugged it off and kept walking.
But as the hours passed, your knees started to ache. Your back tightened. Joints stiffened. The others felt it too—slowing down, sweating more, catching their breath between steps.
When you stopped to rest, you finally looked around. The bodies weren’t the same. Hair had grayed. Wrinkles deepened. Muscles softened. You’d all aged—decades, not hours.
No one said it out loud at first, but it was clear. The hike had turned you into old men.
Yet as strange as it was, something else changed too. The laughs were louder. The stories came easier. You weren’t worried about texts or meetings—just the trail ahead and the company beside you.
The egg hadn’t cursed you. It had freed you.
And though the hike had aged your bodies, somehow, it made your spirits feel young again.
