The New Ethan Foster, Final Part?

Ethan Foster woke up with gravity pressing down on him in a way he had never felt before.

His back ached. His legs were stiff. His hands—larger, rougher than before—moved sluggishly as he sat up, blinking against the morning light filtering through the blinds.

And then it hit him.

The body auction. The swap.

He swung his legs over the edge of the bed, heart pounding. This was it. He was Ed Calloway now.

He stood carefully, the weight of his new body settling into his bones. His joints popped as he stretched, and the slight paunch of his stomach hung over the sweats he had fallen asleep in.

Walking to the bedroom mirror, he hesitated before looking.

There he was. Ed.

His face—lined with years of stress and experience—stared back at him. The graying hair, the five o’clock shadow, the crow’s feet at the corners of his eyes. The body he had secretly admired for years.

He ran a hand over his jaw, gripping his chin. His fingers traced over his throat, his collarbone, the broadness of his shoulders. This was his body now. Permanent.

And he was going to make it work.
