My husband and I have been married for 42 years. We’ve traveled the world, but when we saw Body SwapN’B’s offer to experience a vacation in someone else’s skin, we thought, why not? We expected a peaceful, relaxing trip to California—maybe some wine tastings, some sightseeing. What we got instead? The wildest weekend of our lives.
The moment we woke up in our new bodies, we were shocked. Instead of our familiar wrinkles and achy joints, we found ourselves in the bodies of two handsome young men—fit, stylish, and, well, very much a couple. It took a few hours to adjust, but after a bit of fun trying on clothes (these boys had quite the wardrobe!), we decided to embrace the experience.
Our host bodies were clearly social butterflies because by the evening, we were invited to a party. Now, back in our real bodies, we’d have called it a night by 10 PM, but these guys? They had energy to spare. We danced, drank cocktails we couldn’t pronounce, and met some of the liveliest people we’d ever encountered. It was intoxicating—literally.
Which brings me to the second photo.
Let’s just say we overestimated our new bodies’ alcohol tolerance. My husband (in the blond one’s body) ended up on the bathroom floor at 1:30 AM, while I (in the scruffy one’s body) was left to document the chaos. The morning was rough, but even with the hangover, we couldn’t stop laughing.
Would we do it again? Maybe not with this much partying—but for one weekend, we got to relive our youth in a way we never imagined. If you’re looking for a trip that shakes things up, this is it.
